Project Overview
This usability research focuses on improving the BHIM UPI mobile app by identifying and addressing usability issues. Through a combination of user testing and interface redesign, the study aims to streamline user interactions and enhance overall task efficiency, enabling smoother digital payment experiences across India.
User Challenges & Problems
Users faced difficulty locating key features due to inconsistent layouts, unclear navigation paths, and poor visual hierarchy. These issues created confusion during simple tasks like sending money or checking transaction history, leading to frustration and inefficiencies.
Solution
The redesign of the BHIM app addressed these challenges by enhancing interface clarity, improving information hierarchy, and optimizing navigation. Usability testing post-redesign showed a 100% task completion rate, demonstrating a significant improvement in user satisfaction and ease of use.
